Winston (one of the "Lucky Seven") was around 8 months old when his companion sheepdog died.

Winston was alone all day long while I worked.  His 10-year old cats didn't play with him much.  I contacted Jane Dempsey of the Old English Sheepdog Rescue of Southern California to let her know that Winston needed a companion.  Around Christmas of 1999, Jane informed me that she had a prospect for me.  She described "Sabrina", a 9-month old owner-turn-in.  She sounded like she would be a good addition to our family.  But, there was no way that I could get down to Southern California on such short notice.  So, Jane made some quick arrangements, and sight unseen, "Sabrina" was loaded on an airplane in Los Angeles and flew up to Reno on January 2, 2000.  We met her plane and brought a sweet, bright-eyed, thin (45 pound) 9-month old sheepie home.

One of the first things I discovered about my Misty Sabrina is that she is a "high-sitter."
The first night she was with us, I made up a bed for her in the kitchen. Imagine my surprise the next morning when I went into the kitchen to find my new sheepie sleeping on the kitchen table!  She no longer sleeps on the kitchen table, or even in the kitchen, but in the bedroom with Winston.  She remains to this day to be a "high-sitter", having her personal picnic table on the deck to watch the world go by.

Misty Sabrina is a sweet and happy sheepie who has brought much love to our family.
