I greatly admire the work carried out by all who are part of this great rescue organisation.  However it is not only the many, many rescue sheepies who are grateful for their love and dedication, but also people like myself.  Almost three years ago my husband and I bought an Oes male, we called him Smoke.  I joined the list and got 
loads of invaluable puppy advice and friendship from many, many people.  When Smoke was 2 years old he was playing with my husband and fell over and broke one of his back legs.  I was devastated, made worse by the fact that he needed to stay 4 days at the vets following surgery.  I got so much support and advice from many rescue volunteers, for which I am still grateful.

My square shows Smoke in his “giggle butt” position and in the corner is a little black and white dog representing Barney, my rescued Border Collie.  I included Barney as he is an old dog and Smoke was the best thing in the world to happen to him.  He has 
had a new lease of life.  Smoke we all love you!

So thank-you from the Uk, keep up all the good work for this wonderful and very special breed.  Remember it is not just the rescued dogs and their new owners who benefit from organisations such as this, it touches people from thousands of miles away also.
