Winston is one of the "Lucky Seven" Old English Sheepdog puppies rescued by the Old English Sheepdog Rescue of Southern California,
(see complete story at www.oesrescue.com).  I was looking for a companion to my 14-year old Misty when Jane Dempsey asked if I would consider adopting a puppy instead of an older rescue dog.  Of course I said YES.  I was in Southern California on business and was able to meet Jane in person and cuddle the adorable 6-week old puppies that she had just brought home.   Well, another six weeks passed.  I flew down to Southern California, rented a car and picked up my new 12-week old baby boy.  What a sweetie he turned out to be!

Winston's quilt block has the pair of dice showing a lucky seven and also has his home of Reno, Nevada.  While Winston was one of the lucky seven ones, I feel that I, too, was one of the lucky ones.  Winston has brought much love and joy to our house.
